Take a Trip to New York City with Some Enablers

Join the Maryland ASG chapter for a trip to New York City to visit the Garment District, go fabric shopping, and browse at Macys.

Arrive NYC 10:45 am
Depart NYC 6:00 pm

2 Pick-up Stops:
6:00 am - Rolling Rd/Catonsville Park-N-Ride I-95 off Rt 166
6:45 am - White Marsh Park-N-Ride - Honeygo Blvd.

$75 per person (includes roundtrip transportation)
DVD/WiFi-equipped bus

Metro Textiles
Mood Fabrics
Broadway
Museums: The Met (features two guided tours: Fashion in Art and Women in Medieval Art: Saints, Seductresses, and Muses) or The Museum at FIT (Minimalism/Maximalism and Paris, Capital of Fashion)

Let's Go To NYC!

Departing Fair Oaks Mall at 5:30am
& Departing NYC at 7:30 pm

Join us for a Bus trip to NYC for a day of fun, fabric shopping, theater, or whatever your heart desires in the Big Apple.  Plan your own day - there is no tour guide.  Dress comfortably!

Cost is $65 roundtrip per person.

Family and friends are welcome, you don’t have to be an ASG member to travel with us!

The bus loads ½ hour prior to departure.  We must have 50 people or the trip will be canceled. 

Send restaurant suggestions and fun places to visit to ksaladino2009@comcast.net.  A list of stores in the garment district and your NYC suggestions will be distributed on the bus.

Arrangements will be made with Fairfax Mall Security to park in one of their parking lots - you will be notified of the location of secure parking before the trip.

Oscar de la Renta Exhibit

Now through May 3
His Legendary World of Style
SCAD Museum of Art
Savannah, GA

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Trustee Andre Leon Talley has brought together some of Oscar de la Renta's iconic gowns in this, the first exhibition since de la Renta's death in October 2014. Featured are gowns worn by Laura Bush, Anna Wintour, Taylor Swift, and Sarah Jessica Parker as well as several bridal ensembles. Google "scad oscar de la renta" for more articles and photos.
This exhibit is a must-see if you are traveling south in the next couple of months.
