Annual ASG NoVA Summer Retreat!!
Who: Northern Virginia American Sewing Guild Members and Friends

What: A fabulous,fun and popular sewing getaway with sewing sisters. Time to work on independent projects at your leisure.
No cooking, cleaning, spouses, kids, interruptions or obligations.



Where: The National Conference Center - North Building • Same venue as last year but different space.
• Large, windowed retreat space!
• 2-tables per workstation, rolling conference chairs.

August 11 – 13, 2017 (9 AM Friday – 4 PM Sunday)

Meals: Full hot breakfast buffet included with room reservations. Other meals are on your own or with your friends. Delicious award-wining onsite dining is available.

Lodging: A web link will be made available to make your own room reservations. $109/room or $129/suite. Rooms are small but clean, and include a double/queen bed. Suites include a pull-out sleep sofa.

Only $50 to reserve your retreat space for 3-days of sewing.

Non-ASG Members pay $100 (plus lodging if staying overnight).

Summer Retreat Fun!

I’d never been to a full three day retreat, so this year I went with a friend out to the National Confer- ence Center in Leesburg to meet up with, and make new, sewing friends. It was, truly, a great experience. Thank you to Sylvia Gould and Karen Gilbert for your untiring volunteer efforts, and all who helped out. Thank you to the center for the incredible service and the food – goodness. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll know what I mean when I say it was like being a 12 year-old dining at Hogwart’s. Here are some of the photos from the retreat, taken by Sylvia. Enjoy, and don’t forget to put aside the dates for the Winter Retreat in Win- chester. Retreat begins

 9 AM on Friday, August 12 , 2016

and continues through 

Sunday, August 14, 2016 until 4 PM.

Our Summer Retreat is located at National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia.

Pack your machines and any projects you want to work on.  

Set up shop at our spacious retreat and enjoy your craft among your sewing sisters.  

Fun and relaxed atmosphere.  

Stitch as much as you like, stay as late as you like.

ASG Members - Cost is only $40 to reserve you space.  

Non-ASG Members - cost is $90.

Rooms are available to stay overnight if desired.

Taste of Retreat!

Our annual Taste of Retreat was held August 14-16th at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA.  With almost 6000 square feet of retreat space, we had lots of room to spread out.  The 3-day weekend retreat was a fun and relaxing way to spend time with sewing friends and catch up on sewing projects.  The onsite dining was delicious too!

Save the Date! Friday August 14 -  Sunday August 16 for our Annual Taste of Retreat.

We have a new venue this year!  Our retreat will be hosted at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA.  This facility used to be the corporate training headquarters for the Xerox corporation.  It is now one of the largest conference centers in the nation on a beautiful campus.  http://www.conferencecenter.com

We have an enormous amount of space available to us so we can really be comfortable and can accommodate everyone that would like to attend.

The cost for the weekend is just $50 per attendee.  You can commute or book a room (available for $109 or $129 per night).  See flyer and registration form for more information.
